A report surfaced tonight from The Athletic that Louisville head coach Scott Satterfield had an interview set up for the opening at South Carolina.

But, according to multiple reports including from Rick Bozich, Satterfield has shared with Louisville athletic director Vince Tyra as recently as tonight that he's committed to being the head coach of the Cardinals.

A number of reports have since come out stating that Satterfield isn't interested in the Gamecocks opening and is happy at Louisville.

Satterfield went 8-5 in his first season with the Cardinals, engineering an impressive turnaround considering where the program was left in the wake of Bobby Petrino's departure, and is 3-6 so far this year.

Before leaving for the Louisville job, Satterfield built Appalachian State from 4-8 in his first season to wins of 10, 9 and 10 wins in his final three years with the program. At App State, he went 51-24 and showed an impressive ability to develop talent and build a winning culture.
