Sources: Charles Huff continues strong work at Marshall, adding new General Manager (Notre Dame)

Logan Meyer's climb in college football has been anything but easy.

But the former entry-level student-worker at the University of Cincinnati now is poised for a breakthrough position on the staff of one of college football's truly rising stars.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Meyer is becoming the new general manager for Marshall University and coach Charles Huff, whose won 16 games in his first two seasons atop the Thundering Herd including an monumental upset of nationally ranked Notre Dame last September.

For Meyer, it's another step in a career long on hard work and diverse experience. He's been a director of player personnel in the Mid-American Conference at Miami (Ohio), an assistant in the football department at Auburn University and also garnered additionally experience at Cincinnati under the staff of Luke Fickell. 

Meyer's work at Auburn included assistant in both personnel and recruiting under former Tigers head coach Bryan Harsin.

Marshall, a nine-game winner in 2022, hosts its annual spring game April 22, and the Thundering Herd are scheduled to host their 2023 opener Sept. 2 against the University of Albany before two weeks later hosting Virginia Tech in another showcase-opportunity for a win against a Power 5 program.
