The latest with the LA Chargers (Anthony Lynn)

Despite ending the season with four straight wins, the LA Chargers have decided to move on from the Anthony Lynn era.

The organization announced the decision on January 4th, following Lynn's meeting with the front office and team ownership.

The Chargers were 6-16 in one-score games over the past two seasons under Lynn.

The Chargers are requesting an interview with 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh as well, per multiple reports.

Bruce Feldman tweets that he's "hearing that the chargers also have some interest in Urban Meyer" for their head coaching job.

According to multiple reports, the Chargers have requested to interview Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

Giants offensive coordinator and former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has an interview request from the chargers, per reports.

The team has requested to interview Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, Tom Pelissero shares.

Per sources, the Chargers have also requested permission to interview DC Brandon Staley, following the Jets’ request. To reiterate, these can’t happen just yet as the Rams are still playing. Expect Staley to be connected to a few more openings down the line as well.

The front office has requested permission to interview Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus, Ian Rapoport tweets before adding that is the third NFL team that has requested to interview Eberflus.

With the Chargers job now open, Jason La Canfora tweets an interesting note that that Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll went to high school with Chargers GM Tom Telesco, noting that Daboll will “get strong consideration.”
