Update on David Braun's Northwestern staff (Bill O'boyle)

On the heels of one of the most surprisingly successful campaigns in recent college football history, Northwestern under new permanent coach David Braun is continuing its staff overhaul.

Bill O'Boyle is exiting San Diego State to become the Wildcats's new offensive line coach in a move that sources have told FootballScoop for the past week was in the works. Matt Zenitz of 247Sports was first on the formal addition of O'Boyle to Braun's second-year staff.

Additionally, Paul Creighton -- who has considerable college experience and spent this past season as an offensive analyst for College Football Playoffs runner-up Washington -- is joining Braun's Northwestern staff as tight ends coach. Multiple other outlets also have noted Creighton's impending addition.

As FootballScoop first reported last week, Zach Lujan -- the two-time FCS national champion offensive coordinator for South Dakota State -- has joined Northwestern as the program's new offensive play-caller, replacing veteran Mike Bajakian.

Sources have indicated to FootballScoop that Lujan potentially could bring with him Jackrabbits quarterback Mark Gronowski to the Wildcats.

Gronowski is a highly decorated FCS star signal-caller who hails from Chicagoland.
