LSU says Texas cut the A/C in its visitors locker room, Texas denies it (LSU)

If you watched the LSU-Texas game on Saturday night, you sat through lots of pauses in the action for trainers to attend to cramping LSU defenders. I can't tell you exactly how many times it happened, but one Texas drive was paused four separate times for Tigers to receive medical attention.

According to LSU, it's not LSU's fault.

Ed Orgeron said Monday that the visitors locker room at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium had no air conditioning.

"First of all, I called Louisiana Tech, and they told us about it," Orgeron told The Advocate. "So we did some things in the dressing room that were better. It wasn't great, but it was better. At least we had air in there. They didn't have air. We had some blowers in there. I don't think that caused as much as going out there and having to play 93 plays on defense. I think that had a lot to do with it."

Orgeron used Louisiana Tech as a character witness, but Louisiana Tech declined to appear at the trial.

It was extremely hot in Austin on Saturday night, but it was also extremely hot on the night Louisiana Tech visited, and it stands to reason being stuck inside an un-air conditioned room with more than 100 other bodies on a hot night would be something you'd remember. Texas AD Chris Del Conte released this statement: "The comment today about the lack of air conditioning in our visiting locker room and this is the first we've heard of any issues in that area. We provide one of the best visitor set ups available and are proud of the effort we put forth in hosting our guests. Our facilities did not receive any complaints from Louisiana Tech or LSU, and we've confirmed that our air conditioning in the visiting locker room is in good working order." LSU and Texas are not rivals but they're sure not friends either, and it seems Orgeron is doing everything he can to bring the tensions between the program to a boil ahead of the Longhorns' return trip to Baton Rouge in 2020.
