The Alabama injury list soon could add a very prominent name: Nick Saban.
Following the Tide's spring game on Saturday, Saban revealed he'd been coaching through a nagging hip ailment. Saban said he wants to have it looked at and, if necessary, undergo surgery.
For those in the SEC searching for an avenue to get Saban to hang 'em up, don't get your hopes up.
“They say that even if it’s the worst-case scenario it might be six to eight weeks,” Saban said. “But I can still cover Ruggs and cut him off. I can do whatever I need to do, I can still play golf. But this has been a little bothersome and I don’t want to go into the fall with this being a problem. And I want to get it fixed because I don’t want to coach for one more year, I want to coach for a lot of more years.”

While Saban's golf game may take a hit, his hip problem won't be an issue for the 2019 Crimson Tide.
