Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Ken Zampese is joining Florida's staff as an analyst, according to a tweet from Sports Illustrated's Andy Benoit.
The son of former Chargers, Rams, Cowboys and Patriots offensive coordinator Ernie Zampese, Ken joined the coaching profession as a GA at USC in 1990 and joined the NFL as an offensive assistant with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1998. He was the wide receivers coach on a St. Louis Rams team that reached the Super Bowl in 2001 and joined the Cincinnati Bengals as an original member of Marvin Lewis's staff in 2003.
Zampese served as the Bengals' quarterbacks coach from 2003-15 and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2016-17.
He was the quarterbacks coach for the Cleveland Browns in 2018 and most recently served as the AAF's Atlanta Legends' offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Zampese's duties are not known at this time, but presumably he'll work with head coach Dan Mullen, offensive coordinators Billy Gonzales and John Hevesy and quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson to develop the Gators' offensive plan of attack.
