Why is Sean Payton putting mouse traps in players lockers? (Featured)

Sean Payton has led the Saints organization since 2006, and has eclipsed the double-digit wins mark six times, including four straight seasons from 2009-2013.

Lately, the team's young talent has been among the best in the NFL, with guys like wide receiver Mike Thomas and running back Alvin Kamara leading the way. While it helps to have veteran guys like Drew Brees and Mark Ingram Jr. around to help in that development, Payton has developed some unique ways to connect and get messages to stick with his guys.

During a sit down with Drew Brees, on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, Brees shared one of those unique methods includes putting mouse traps in the lockers of players sometimes.

"He'll find unique way to make sure young guys never get complacent. Little things that he'll say, like he might put a mouse trap in your locker or something like that, and he's got a saying 'Don't eat the cheese.'"

"In other words, don't believe the stuff other people are feeding you about how great you are and all this other stuff. Don't eat it man. It's a trap. You've got to keep working."
