Late last night Penn State offensive line coach Herb Hand sent out a tweet that made every food-loving coach in America crack a smile, and possibly drool just a bit.
Thanks coach Hand...like we needed another reason to tune into the Food Network.
When it comes to offensive line coaches, Hand is at the top of the list when it comes to being cut out for a TV appearance. For proof just take a look at his Twitter account. As far as I'm concerned, his Food Network debut is long overdue.
Hand is the type of guy that when he hosts a recruit, he goes right for the gut. For one guy he cooked up the following; Bacon, Bleu Cheese and Grape flat bread drizzled with honey - Wedge Salad (simple but delicious) - Crab stuffed filet mignon seared in bacon fat - grilled squash medley - sautรฉed asparagus - parmesan pasta - pecan crusted vanilla ice cream ball over a fudge brownie with salted caramel sauce for desert.
Of course he locked up that recruit, and that right there is why the Food Network has locked him up for the "Four Fathers" edition of the hit "Chopped" show. The episode was actually filmed last year (so he'll be wearing Vandy gear instead of Penn State gear on set) and will air on Tuesday, June 10th.
If it's possible, you may want to just set your DVR now.
