Oregon offensive coordinator Scott Frost will be the new head coach at UCF.
Frost has been a member of the Oregon program since 2009, when he joined as the receivers coach, and earned a promotion to offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach in 2013. As a player, Frost was coached by some of the best in the coaching business, including Bill Walsh, Tom Osborne, Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, and Jon Gruden. His coaching career started as a graduate assistant at Nebraska and Kansas State before taking a full time position at Northern Iowa, where he started off coaching the linebackers. In 2008, Frost was appointed co-defensive coordinator / linebackers coach at UNI, and in 2009 he left for the receivers job at Oregon.
Frost will take over a program that went 0-12 this season, including losses to FIU and Furman. Also, nine of their 12 losses came by double digits. Stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
