As the months of the off season drag on and on, it's always interesting to see how programs take sometimes subtle (and other times obvious) jabs at one another in the name of rivalry fun.
For example, Urban Meyer refuses to even mention rival Michigan by name, and the color blue is not allowed to be worn inside of the football facility, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. While the Michigan vs. Ohio State rivalry is one of the most famous in college football, the embers of in-state rivalries seem to burn the hottest and often can't be ignored.
Take the Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State rivalry for instance. With both state schools ranked in the top five for a few weeks during the 2014 season, the excitement and trash talk reached a fever pitch between the two programs. As we all know, the Rebels beat the Bulldogs in the Egg Bowl at the end of last season. Not surprisingly, that started to carry over to this off season. Last week, the Rebels men's basketball team completed the season sweep of the Bulldogs, which led to some strong tweets from a few Ole Miss assistants who aimed to prove a simple point with #Flagship.
Today, Ole Miss released a video that capitalized on that #Flagship swagger, with the intent of informing everyone where the one and only Flagship University of Mississippi is located.
