Fran Brown, Syracuse answer Deion Sanders's call for a spring game (Spring Football Game)

Frankly, Fran Brown didn't get enough attention for the job he did last year at Syracuse.

The first-year and first-time head coach merely generated a 10-win campaign for the Orange, who dispatched their final four foes including then-No. 8 Miami and Washington State in their season-ending Holiday Bowl victory.

Brown, now, is ready to answer another challenge, and sooner rather than later.

On the heels of Colorado third-year coach Deion Sanders saying Monday that he wants an actual opponent for his Colorado Buffaloes squad this spring, Brown is offering to step and answer the bell.

"We will come to Boulder for 3 days," Brown says in a social media post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

The NCAA, as of yet, hasn't moved to allow spring exhibitions among teams -- though preseason skirmishes are allowed in men's and women's basketball, baseball and other endeavors.

For now, Syracuse must be content to play its annual spring game April 12 inside its home dome.

Sanders is scheduled to host his third spring game atop the Colorado program a week later on Folsom Field.

The Buffaloes are coming off a nine-win season and seeking to replace Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter as well as star quarterback Shedeur Sanders, among other notable players moving on to seek an NFL career.

Update> We're getting close to seeing Prime and Fran negotiate a deal over X.
