Oklahoma is expected to hire The Athlete Group senior consultant Taylor Redd as its assistant general manager, On3 reported Tuesday.
Redd and The Athlete Group assisted with the search that landed Jim Nagy as the Sooners' new general manager, and now Nagy is bringing Redd aboard in Norman.
Redd entered football as a student assistant at Bowling Green in 2010, then joined Wake Forest's program as a graduate student in 2014. He then served as a GA working with the Demon Deacons' wide receivers from 2015-17, and spent 2017-18 as the program's director of player personnel.
Redd then entered professional football, serving as an area scout for the New England Patriots from 2018-24, leading to his position with The Athlete Group.
Had someone tell me they were very impressed with Redd while he was working with Jake Rosenberg and helping OU. That was while we were trying to uncover potential candidates for the GM position. https://t.co/U1GNWzcH52
