After changing course with their special teams unit on the heels of a run last month to the AFC Championship, the Buffalo Bills are again adding to their staff.
Multiple sources tell FootballScoop that the Bills are hiring Turner West into the role of assistant special teams coordinator.
Buffalo earlier this month hired NFL veteran Chris Tabor as its new special teams coordinator.
Now West, Georgia Southern's special teams coordinator the past three seasons, is returning to the NFL; he previously helped coach linebackers for the Dallas Cowboys.
West also has coaching stops at Austin Peay, The Citadel, Middle Tennessee and Samford.
He's been a special teams coordinator the past six seasons of his coaching career. Tabor's various NFL stops before Buffalo include the Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers.
Sean McDermott has led the Buffalo Bills to six-straight AFC Playoffs appearances, including the AFC Championship game in both 2020 and earlier this year.
