Sources: Coastal Carolina G.M. Scott Aligo enhancing personnel staff (Wilson Schiller)

Scott Aligo has NFL experience, Power Conference work and now the distinction of being the first-ever general manager for Coastal Carolina football.

Aligo now also has some additional support staff.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Aligo is hiring Wilson Schiller away from his role as Eastern Michigan's director of on-campus recruiting and operations into the role of assistant director of player personnel for the Chanticleers.

Schiller previously worked with Aligo when the two were on staff at Kansas. A Kansas grad, Schiller began his work in college football as a video assistant in the Jayhawks football program and then carved a role as a recruiting analyst.

He spent four years on the recruiting staff at KU before he accepted the recruiting post at Eastern Michigan, where he spent the past two years in charge of all components of their recruiting organization.

With past experience at the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns, in addition to his noteworthy work at Kansas, Aligo brings a depth of experience and expertise that Coastal Carolina is seeking to help enhance its football program.

The Chants finished their 2024 campaign under Tim Beck at 6-7 with a Myrtle Beach Bowl-loss to UTSA. They open the 2025 season Aug. 30 at Tony Elliott's Virginia program.
