Following a consensus All-American season at Oklahoma in 2019, CeeDee Lamb was picked in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, going 17th overall to the Dallas Cowboys.

Immediately upon entering the league Lamb started doing a unique "nose wipe" celebration, and has carried it as his signature celebration over the last several seasons, making four straight Pro Bowls from 2021-24.

This season, fans of Lamb and the Cowboys likely aren't going to see Lamb's signature celebration, thanks to a move the NFL buried in their recent rules report.

The league has decided that the "nose wipe gesture" will now result in a 15-yard penalty.

Why you may ask? Well, according to the NFL, they're lumping it in with gestures such as throat slashing and brandishing a firearm as a "violent gesture."

Some outlets have pointed out that, in some circles, the gesture is a gang sign associated with the Bloods, used to indicate someone is untrustworthy.

While the ban includes on-field gestures like finger guns by players, a lot of folks are quick to point out the hypocrisy with cannons still firing at Raymond James Stadium and muskets fired in New England that have both long been parts of the fan experience.

Lamb made his feelings known after the new rule was brought to light.
