GJ Kinne has agreed to a new contract to remain at Texas State, ESPN's Pete Thamel reported Thursday.
The extension keeps Kinne under contract for seven years and averages $2 million over the life of the deal, according to the report.
This is the second alteration to Kinne's deal in 11 months. In December, Kinne agreed to a 5-year extension that averaged $1 million per year. This deal will double his average pay.
Kinne, who did not enter coaching until 2017, is in his second season at Texas State. After going 8-5 with the program's first ever bowl win last season, the Bobcats are 6-4 and sit a game out of first place in the Sun Belt West with two games remaining.
As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
