North Carolina released details of Bill Belichick's contract shortly after his hiring, and, now that he's finally signed it, the school released the full pact on Thursday.
The contract was signed Wednesday, and expires Dec. 31, 2029.
As previously reported, Belichick will earn $10 million even per year, with a buyout that sits at $10 million today but drops to $1 million after June 1.
Belichick can also earn $1.75 million for leading North Carolina to its first national championship and $750,000 for making the field. He can also earn $500,000 for a top five finish in the final CFP poll and $250,000 for finishing among the top 25.
Outside the CFP, Belichick can earn $200,000 for taking the Tar Heels to the ACC championship, an extra $100,000 for winning it, and $350,000 for taking UNC to a "Tier 1" non-CFP bowl, which the contract defines as the Gator, Pop-Tarts, or Duke's Mayo bowls.
Belichick can also earn $150,000 if the Tar Heels post at least a 3.0 team GPA.
