Perry Thomas resigns after over a decade leading Campbellsville

Perry Thomas' run atop the program at Campbellsville is coming to an end.

After 15 seasons leading the program Thomas has decided to resign.

Prior to joining the NAIA ranks, Thomas led the program to two NCCAA championships (2011 and 2017), as well as back-to-back Mid-South championships in 2014 and 2015.

The most impressive part about those accomplishments is where the program was when he took over. The Tigers were coming off an 0-10 season in 2007, and the rebuild under Thomas started with a 3-8 campaign initially before a runner-up finish in the league two seasons after taking over.

The Tigers finished the 2021 campaign 2-8 overall.

In the school's release, they share that the process to fill the vacancy will begin immediately and it will be a national search where a successor will be hired as soon as possible.

The change marks the tenth head coaching change of the NAIA ranks this off season. Keep track of all the head coaching movement via this page.
