Salary figures for five new additions to Billy Napier staff at Louisiana Lafayette (Louisiana - Lafayette)

While Louisiana Lafayette was able to keep Billy Napier with the Ragin Cajuns after another off season where he was pursued by a number of Power Five programs, the coach who has become an annual name we see in the mix for some high profile jobs each off season was tasked with filling some key roles on his staff.

One of the biggest losses was offensive line coach / offensive coordinator Rob Sale, who left to coach the offensive line for the New York Giants.

Napier hired Jeff Norrid, who previously spent time on the support staffs at Auburn and Alabama before coaching the offensive line at FAU the past two seasons, to coach the offensive line.

New additions also include; Wes Neighbors to coach the safeties, Galen Scott to work with the inside linebackers, Jeff Burris to work with the corners, and Darnell Stapleton as an assistant offensive line coach.

The Daily Advertiser shared their salaries earlier today.

After paying Rob Sale $360k as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, the program is saving a bit with the quality addition of Norrid to the staff, as he will make $185k. Neighbors will also make $185k in his role, while Burris and Scott will be paid $150k each, and Stapleton is set to make $125.

Defensive coordinator Patrick Toney will now work with the outside linebackers after working with the safeties previously. The outside linebacker duties were handled by defensive graduate assistant Mike Guiliani, who remains with the program in an off-field role.

Napier will continue to call plays, while the offensive coordinator duties will be shared by Tim Leger (WRs) and Michael Desormeaux (TEs). Both coaches are expected to earn raises with the new roles as well.

After going 21-4 over the past two seasons after a 7-7 initial season, Napier has catapulted ULL into the premier tier of Group of Five schools and a past article by SI notes that a large part of that can be attributed to beefing up their support staff by 75%, investing $1.5 million into their training table budget for players, and increasing the salary pool for assistant coaches by 40%.

Below is a visual run down of the new additions and their salaries.
