After losing Michael McCarthy last month to the NFL's New England Patriots Brown University is close to again completing its football staff.
Multiple sources tell FootballScoop that Brown and head coach James Perry are targeting collegiate coaching veteran Eddy Morrissey as the next Bears offensive line coach.
The two sides have been going through the interview and hiring process for the past week, per sources.
Morrisey was hired last month at Merrimack as the program's co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. He previously served as Rhode Island's offensive line coach.
Prior to his time with the Rams. Morrissey had stops at Mississippi State and Oregon; he's been on staff at Austin Peay and Bryant as well.
No stranger to the Ivy League, Morrissey also spent time as Princeton's assistant head coach and offensive line coach.
Brown, 5-5 in 2023, is set to open its 2024 season Sept. 24 in Washington, D.C., against host Georgetown.
