Sources: Missouri to hire Brandon Jones as offensive line coach (Brandon Jones)

Brandon Jones is expected to be the next offensive line coach at Missouri, sources told FootballScoop on Monday.

Jones spent the past four seasons as Houston's co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Dana Holgorsen made Jones one of the highest-paid assistants in the Group of 5 to get him to leave Texas Tech for U of H, but Holgorsen did not retain Jones following last season.

A former Red Raider himself, Jones started coaching as an offensive assistant in 2007. His first full-time job came as the running backs and tight ends coach at Sam Houston in 2009; he has since coached offensive lines for East Carolina, Cal, Texas Tech and Houston.

Jones replaces Marcus Johnson, who left for Purdue earlier this month.
