Ryan Day: "The most romantic thing I've done for my wife in the last few months is beat Notre Dame"

After punching in the go ahead touchdown as time expired last Saturday, Ryan Day puffed out his chest and called out Lou Holtz on the field immediately after the win in one of the best moments of the young college football season.

Day recently reflected back upon the huge win for the Buckeyes during a speaking engagement this week.

Coincidentally, the win came up after Day was asked about the most romantic thing he's done for his wife.

Of course, Day answered in peak football-guy fashion.

"The most romantic thing I've done for my wife in the last few months is beat Notre Dame last Saturday night."

That response got quite the reaction from the crowd in attendance.

"That's the truth. You can ask her. I guarantee it."

"There ain't no dinner, no night out, that she wants more than to win that game, I can promise you that right now. So that was a good night," he added, with the crowd still roaring.
