After losing some key assistants (and players) over the past two seasons, where he's led the RedHawks to an impressive 20-5 record over that span, Chuck Martin has recently filled one of his coordinator spots.
Sources tell FootballScoop Johnny Aylward is heading back to Oxford to join the staff as special teams coordinator.
A fast rising young assistant, Aylward spent last season as the receivers coach at Merrimack (FCS - MA), but prior to that served as an offensive graduate assistant for the Miami (OH) program.
He previously worked with the team's offensive line.
Prior to his time with the RedHawks, Aylward spent time as a graduate assistant at Notre Dame.
