Marist football's staff is undergoing some changes as Mike Willis guides the Red Foxes into his second year at the helm, FootballScoop has learned.
Sources on Monday tell FootballScoop that offensive coordinator Bob Davies is stepping down for personal reasons and that Willis is expected to promote TJ Weyl, a former Rutgers staffer who's been the Red Foxes recruiting coordinator, offensive line coach and running game coordinator, to the top offensive post.
In addition to the offensive coordinator role, Weyl is expected to coach Marist's quarterbacks.
That move is going to leave Willis seeking an offensive line coach as the program transitions into the 2025 season. A former standout offensive lineman at Princeton who had been the Tigers play-caller, Willis also remains directly involved in the offensive operations for Marist.
The change for Davies is a personal, family move and the two sides are parting on amicable terms, FootballScoop was told.
