Allegheny College (D-III - PA): Dayton (FCS - OH) quarterbacks coach Braden Layer is returning to the Gators as head coach, sources tell FootballScoop.
Notre Dame: Notre Dame has a new addition in their offensive staff room, sources tell FootballScoop.
East Carolina: Jovon Hubbard, who spent last season at Liberty as the director of external / high school relations following two seasons as the director of on-campus recruiting, has been named recruiting operations coordinator.
Ohio: Ohio is seeking to hire two part-time positions in recruiting & operations. This position supports the Director of Football Operations and Director of Recruiting with all operations of the football team. Duties include coordination of travel; coordination of practice; set-up of the recruiting pavilion for home games; assist with football recruiting, and other duties as assigned. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. The position will run thru April of 2024, and upon completion of the position can be up for renewal for a 10 month appointment starting 7/1/24. Nichols (D-III - MA): Nichols College has an opening for a full-time running backs coach. The assistant coach will work in conjunction with the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator to fulfill the following responsibilities: coaching student athletes, mentoring intern coaches, scouting opponents, recruiting various territories, tracking equipment and developing alumni contacts. This is a SPRING/FALL position with NO benefits and an immediate start date. Pay is $5,000 for the season starting Aug. 1st. There is also a stipend available in the spring based on availability. Bachelor’s degree is required. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. There is NO housing with this position, local residents are encouraged to apply. Catawba (D-II - NC): Sources tell FootballScoop that Jordan Softcheck has been added to the staff as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Softcheck most recently served as the offensive coordinator at St. Anselm (D-II - NH). He also had previous stops at Brown (FCS) and Dayton (FCS).
Indianapolis (D-II): UIndy has hired Brian Dogherty as their new defensive coordinator. He spent the last four seasons at Valparaiso (FCS - IN) in the same role, where he worked with the safeties.
North Carolina: Mack Brown is bringing in a veteran NFL quarterbacks coach and coordinator to assist with the Tar Heels' offense, sources tell FootballScoop.
Las Vegas Raiders: Ravens outside linebackers coach Rob Leonard is leaving to become the defensive line coach in Vegas.
Florida: Sources tell FootballScoop Cal defensive quality control coach Allen Brown has accepted the same role for the Gators.
Oregon: Antonio Parks, who had recently joined the Arizona State staff as a defensive recruiting analyst, is expected to join the Ducks staff as an offensive analyst, per multiple reports.
Dallas Cowboys: Head coach Mike McCarthy is taking over the play calling duties this year.
Colorado: Coach Prime is reportedly targeting a Houston assistant to fill a recently vacated spot on his defensive staff.
Northwest Missouri State (D-II): Northwest Missouri State, in Maryville, MO is currently seeking a graduate assistant. Position will include assisting with a position group, assisting with special teams responsibilities, and recruiting. Experience working with Offense, Defense and/or Special Teams is preferred. Other responsibilities will include film breakdown, practice organization, game day preparation, recruiting area, student athlete development, and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. Position includes a stipend and tuition waiver for graduate school. Qualifications include bachelors degree and acceptance into graduate program (minimum GPA of 3.0 in 8 hours of graduate work or 2.75 GPA in undergraduate degree). College Football Playoff: The CFP has announced former Nevada head coach Chris Ault, Washington athletic director Jen Cohen and Miami (OH) athletic director David Sayler are new members to the selection committee. They begin three-year terms this spring.
Arizona Cardinals: Former Charleston Southern (FCS) head coach Autry Denson is leaving his job as the athletics director at Northwood Academy (SC) to become the running backs coach for the Cardinals, Scott Eisberg tweets.
Cincinnati: The program has formally announced the additions of Brad Glenn (OC / WRs), Nate Fuqua (co-DC / OLBs), and Courtney Braswell (ILBs). Also, Josh Stepp who initially joined the staff as wide receivers coach, will move to tight ends. These new hires complete his staff heading into spring ball.
